I am running for Evergreen School Board of Directors because I believe in the power of strong schools to create strong communities. The success of our schools is my greatest priority, and I know that public education has the power to create pathways to opportunities for all students. I will bring extensive leadership, classroom experience and contribute the voice of someone who is both a teacher and the parent of children in the Evergreen School District.
As a parent, I am grateful for the outstanding education my two children are receiving in the Evergreen School District. I am deeply invested not only in the success of my own children’s education, but also the success of all the students in our community. The contributions I can bring to the board are that of an accomplished teacher, dedicated parent, and student advocate.
As an educator, I have a deep understanding of how school board policies directly affect students in the classroom. My priority is to make decisions with a focus on what is best for students. As a mother of two children in Evergreen Public Schools, one in elementary and one in middle school, I am fully invested in the success of our schools.
My goal is to further elevate an integrated approach to positive change, responding to community feedback, welcoming educator input, and encouraging student engagement with the school board. I bring extensive educational leadership, classroom experience and the voice of someone who is both a teacher and parent.
